Wine, Women & Shoes Collide For Charity

CORAL GABLES (CBS4) - Wine, Women and Shoes; a winning combination to raise money for Miami Children's Hospital.

The annual event, held Thursday at the Coral Gables Country Club, brought together philanthropic ladies to mingle, show off fabulous shoes and benefit a worthy cause.

"The money goes straight to Miami Children's Hospital. It goes to the equipment, towards research, to the families and children of the hospital in Miami and beyond," said Lucy Morillo Agnetti, CEO of the MCH Foundation.

More than 450 women shopped, sipped and showed off their fine footwear. CBS4's Shannon Hori was the event's co-chair and Mistress of Ceremonies.

"It's a national charity and MCH brought it here, and the ladies love it!" said Shannon Hori.

"I think this is great! What could be cooler than wine, women, and shoes" said Boo Zamek, founder of ASKBOO.com

"It's amazing, wine women and shoes and it's for the children at Miami Children's Hospital, so it means something," said Liv Davalos from Pinecrest.

It means a lot to Mom Stacy Kern, whose son was a cardiac patient at Miami Children's Hospital.

"They saved my sons life, that's why I'm here" said Stacy.

Organizers of the event expect to raise almost $500,000 from the luncheon.
