Lauderdale Twin Kid Chefs Have Their Own Show

MIAMI (CBS4) - There's a new cooking show on PBS featuring seven year old twins Hadley and Delaney Robertson from Fort Lauderdale.

It seems the sisters took a liking to the kitchen as toddlers when they watched their grandmother cook.

"They started with their grandmother who is always in the kitchen cooking delicious things. We gave them tasks like salad dressings and sauces, little things at a time," said the twins' mother Shannon Robertson.

When Robertson found out that the network was looking for a children's cooking show, she thought Hadley and Delaney might have all the ingredients to make it work. They certainly had their TV chef idols.

"We like Giada and Paula Deen," said the twins. "They have nice smiles and they make everything look so easy."

The whole family is part of the action with the adults doing the heating and cutting.

"The girls go on and they cook different things, usually with a theme like Halloween or Mexican night or Italian night," said Robertson.

The episodes are taped in the kitchen of the Robertsons' home. The girls stand on two foot tall boosters so they can reach the kitchen counter.

Hadley and Delaney are home schooled and their plate is full with other interests including gymnastics, playing with their 3 dogs, golf, ballet and swimming. But it's cooking that really makes them most happy.

The twin's show "Twice as Good" which airs on WLRN - TV Sundays at noon.
