MIAMI GARDENS (CBS4) – Miami Gardens Police arrested a mother Tuesday evening after officers found her two year old son wandering the streets alone.

Several calls were placed to the police department stating the toddler was walking the streets unattended. Officers began asking around the area to find out where the child lives and eventually found the boy’s mother on the 3400 block of Northwest 177 Terrace.

“After a while they asked questions in the neighborhoos and they came to a house where they pointed where the child lives,” said Miami Gardens Police Capt. Ralph Suarez. “The units brought the kid to the house and it was at that point she realized the child was missing.”

CBS4 performed a records check and learned Anice was arrested in March 2012 on felony child neglect charges.
