MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Claiming her insurance broker dropped the ball and caused her to be slammed with massive medical bills after her son was in a car accident, "Real Housewives of Miami" star Alexia Echevarria filed a suit against them for $2 million.

Echevarria, who filed the suit against a company called Garcia Lorenzo & Associates, claims the failed to execute her insurance policy properly, according to TMZ.com.

In 2011, Echevarria's 13-year-old son was in a car accident which left him with severe injuries including injuries to his brain.

Because of what she claimed was scant coverage by Garcia Lorenzo & Associates, Echevarria said she was hit with millions of dollars in medical bills.
