Canes Launch Operation:Sellout For Duke Game

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Hurricanes have jumped out to a 3-0 record in Atlantic Coast Conference play this year and are just one week away from taking on ACC powerhouse Duke.

So, the Hurricanes have commenced "Operation: Sellout" online in hopes of putting together a sell-out crowd in the stands when the Blue Devils come to Coral Gables next week.

The website for "Operation: Sellout" features a countdown clock, if you will, that counts down how many tickets are left to sell for the Duke game next Wednesday night. Currently (11 a.m. Wednesday), there are 544 tickets remaining to sell to the game.

The Canes have already beaten one team from Tobacco Road earlier this season when the Canes took out the North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill. The upset win, along with a 54-47 beating of Maryland Sunday night has Canes fans ready for a Duke upset.

Duke fell from the number one spot in the nation last weekend after a loss to North Carolina State on the road. But, the Blue Devils are still the team to beat in the ACC and the measuring stick for all conference programs.

But, before Miami can get to the Duke game on Wednesday, they have to hit the road to play the Boston College Eagles in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Boston College lost on the road to Wake Forest in its last game and won its previous game against Virginia Tech.
