Bush Finishes Just Short Of 1,000 Rushing Yards

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Dolphins running back came very close to joining a very elite club with the Miami Dolphins. He needed 40 yards entering Sunday's game to rush for 1,000 yards for a second straight season.

Bush ended up with just 26 yards in the game, finishing 14 yards short of 1,000. The hard running Bush did throughout the season may have helped him secure a better contract in the offseason from the Dolphins or another team as he's now a free agent.

Bush has said in the past he would like to remain a Miami Dolphin. He's had his best years in the National Football League in Miami and was essentially the Dolphins only real gamebreaker on offense in 2012.

For his part, Bush said Sunday he hadn't thought about his contract.

"The contract is up. There will come a time to sit down with my agent and figure something out … but right now is not the time to speak about that," Bush told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
