Key's Man Accused Of Fondling 12-Year Old Girl
CUDJOE KEY (CBSMiami) – A lower Keys man was taken into custody and charged after he allegedly fondled a 12-year old girl.
The girl told Monroe County sheriff's deputies that she and her family were on a boat trip with 53-yer old Bobby Brents of Cudjoe Key when the boat broke down. She said during the time they were waiting for a tow to land, Brents fondled her and struggled with her in an effort to remove her clothing.
The girls said she fought him off and moved to another area of the boat. She later told her mother what had happened.
Brents was arrested Saturday and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior with the victim between the ages of 12 and 16.
