Wet & Windy Weekend May Be In Store For S. Florida

MIAMI (CBS4) - South Floridians woke up to cloudy skies and brief showers Friday morning and that trend may stay through most of the weekend.

The showers came on a  strong northeast breeze that is forecast to continue through the weekend. That means showers are again possible on Saturday across the area.

By Sunday, the moisture contributing to the showers should begin to thin somewhat which will allow for more sunshine and a lower chance of rain.

If you're headed out on the water this weekend, be extra careful. The wind will stick around through the weekend making for rough ocean waters and choppy bays.

The windy conditions are the result of a high pressure parked over the southeastern United States.

Temperatures over the weekend should remain in the upper 70's during the day and low to mid 60's at night.

By Monday, there will only be a very slight chance of rain and partly cloudy to mostly sunny conditions should be in the cards next week.
