MAIMI (CBSMiami) – In observance of World AIDS Day, Miami-Dade’s health department will offer free Rapid HIV testing at Miami-Dade Metrorail stations this Friday.

The event, dubbed “TAKE the TRAIN…TAKE the TEST,” will run from noon to 6:00pm.

The test is free and results take about 20 minutes. There will also be counselors at the stations to answer any questions.

The Rapid HIV testing will be available at University; Douglas Road; Coconut Grove; Government Center (for homeless only); Allapattah; Earlington Heights; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza; Northside and Hialeah stations.

The 2012 theme for World AIDS Day, which is Saturday Dec. 1st, is “Working Together for an AIDS-Free Generation”.
