Police Seek White Hat Wearing Man For Deadly Confrontation

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Police Department has released a photograph of a man wanted for a deadly confrontation.

According to police, two men were involved in some sort of altercation on Halloween night at Taverna Opa restaurant, located 900 S. Miami Avenue.

Around 1:00 a.m., a conversation between Patrick Prevatte, and an unidentified man wearing a white hat, escalated into violence and the man wearing the white hat punched Prevatte who fell to the ground and struck his head.

Prevatte was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he later died due to his injuries.

Detectives are looking for anyone who might have witnessed the argument or knows the identity of the man in the white hat.
