Obama Campaign Office In Florida Burglarized

FORT MYERS (CBSMiami/AP) – A campaign for President Barack Obama on the state's west coast was targeted by burglars.

Lee County detectives said whoever broke in only took the cash that was in the office and left behind the computers. Also there were no political statements or graffiti left behind.

Deputies were called to the headquarters Sunday morning after an employee found the glass front door had been smashed and broken. Detectives are looking for a man seen on surveillance video at the time, calling him a person of interest.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office statement says anyone with information should call authorities.

They may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
