Special Mass In Honor Of Missing UF Student

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A special mass will be held Wednesday evening to offer spiritual support to the family of missing University of Florida student Christian Aguilar.

Doral Academy, which Aguilar attended before heading off to UF, will hold the ecumenical mass (all faiths) at 8 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church which is located at 12800 NW 6th Street in west Miami-Dade.

The nightmare for the Aguilar family started Thursday, September 20th.

Christian disappeared that night, shortly after he was seen on surveillance video with his friend, Pedro Bravo, at a Gainesville Best Buy.

The following Saturday, Bravo, 18, was named a person of interest in the case.

Police said he told them he beat up Christian and then left him in a parking lot.

On Friday, September 28th, Bravo was charged with murder.

A benefit concert in honor of Aguilar will be held at Florida International University on October 14th.
