Lots Of Color & Skin At The Primetime Emmys
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The new black was big bold color. The Emmy Awards red carpet got a lot of its sizzle Sunday night from TV stars in red, orange, yellow, blue and green.
The flashes of skin were strategic — like Heidi Klum's slits and Sofia Vergara's cutouts — but generally the celebrities got noticed for smart styles and head-turning hues.
Pregnant Claire Danes showed there's no reason to shy away from strapless when you're pregnant, and Ginnifer Goodwin just might have emerged as a fashion force, thanks to her risk-taking, flaming-red gown.
But some red-carpet vets, Edie Falco, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Julianna Margulies among them, proved they still have some tricks up their sleeves.
And Julianne Moore's award-show debut of Raf Simons' new look for Christian Dior, in a long-sleeved gown on a super hot night, will surely have the fashion insiders talking.
