PINECREST (CBSMiami) – Trader Joe’s, a extremely popular specialty grocery store, will open its first Miami location in 2013.

According to CBS4 News partner The Miami Herald, the California based company has signed a lease to open a store in Pinecrest.

It’ll be located on the 9200 block of South Dixie Highway, where a Borders bookstore used to be located.

This will be the third Trader Joes in the state of Florida.

The first opened in Naples in February followed by a store in Sarasota which opened earlier this month.

Trader Joe’s has a cult-like following for its gourmet and organic items, often value-priced, including prepared foods. The store also carries staples such as bread and milk, pet food and flowers. More than 80 percent of the products are private label.
