Fins Sign DT Andre Fluellen

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins' search to find a reliable defensive tackle backup until Tony McDaniel gets back to full strength has ended up with the team signing former Detroit Lion and FSU star Andre Fluellen.

The 6'2", 302 pound defensive tackle spent the last four years with the Lions and has appeared in 51 career games with five starts. He was drafted out of college in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft.

While at FSU he was a four-year letter winner and two-year starter, finishing his Seminoles career with 81 tackles, including 18 for loss, five passes defended and five sacks.

McDaniel has been the Dolphins backup, alongside rookie Kheeston Randall, when healthy. The Dolphins signed Ryan Baker last week to fill in for McDaniel but released him on Monday.
