Rascal Flatts Receive Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

LOS ANGELES (CBSMiami) -- The country trio Rascal Flatts was immortalized Monday on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The group has sold more than 21 million albums.

Its recent single, "Banjo," marked the group's fourteenth number one hit on Billboard's Country Songs chart.

"I keep saying it over and over again, it's gonna take about a week for it to sink in, and I'm gonna fly back out here probably next month and make sure it's still there. Words alone can't describe how humbled we feel, and very grateful. This is a huge honor for us," said Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts.

"I think we all have the same buzz right now, it's incredible. They'll be here forever, and our kids can come and see this, our grandkids one day can see it. And like Jay said, it's actually proof that we were kind of cool at one point," said band member Joe Don Rooney. "It's really extraordinary."

The Academy of Country Music has named Rascal Flatts vocal group of the year seven times.

It received the same honor from the Country Music Association six times.
