Hialeah Man Shot During Robbery
HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – One person was injured in an early morning robbery in Hialeah.
It happened after 10:30 a.m. in front of a residence at 351 W 14th Street.
"Two men approached the victims as they got home," said Hialeah police spokesman Det. Eddie Rodriguez. "One of the men was armed with a handgun. They begin to rob the victims when all of a sudden the robber shot one of the victims."
The armed man and his partner in crime then took off. Rodriguez said officers will canvas the neighborhood to see if anyone saw or heard anything.
The injured man, who was shot under the armpit, was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Police have not released a description of the robbers or their vehicle.
