Miami-Dade Police Release Sketch Of Man Wanted For Sexual Assault

MIAMI (CBS4) - Miami-Dade Police are looking for a man they say forced his way into a woman's home and sexually assaulted her. Police say it happened about 10 a.m. Tuesday September 4th at the victim's home in the area of SW 195 Street and 97th Avenue in Cutler Bay.

The victim told police that she heard a knock at her door and when she answered it, the suspect forced his way into her home and sexually assaulted her.

Neighbors say they're concerned.

"Especially at ten o'clock in the morning on Tuesday morning... you typically you let your guard down a little bit more when it's daylight out," said Chris, who asked us not to use his last name.

Some neighbors say they're already cautious but they'll be even more careful if someone comes to the door.

"Always check.  I have a peephole and if you're not sure, you go to the window and ask and my kids never open the door to anyone they don't know," said Melinda Drury. "They always look out the windows."

The suspect's described as a white Hispanic man in his 40's with dark color eyes.  He is between 5' 5" and 5' 7". He had a medium complexion with beard stubble and short black hair that is balding in front.  He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and dark pants.

After the attack, the suspect fled in an unknown direction.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Miami-Dade Police Department at (305) 4-POLICE (305-476-5423) or the Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (305-471-8477).
