Stolen Dog Found In Milwaukee Reunited With Miami Owner

MIAMI (CBSMiami) — After four years apart, a bulldog found nearly 1,500 miles away from its Miami home has finally been reunited with its owner.

Luna the English Bulldog was stolen from Isa Mendoza's front yard in 2008.

All this time, Mendoza prayed for Luna's safe return.

Then, on August 7th, Mendoza received a call from an animal shelter in Milwaukee, Wis. that warmed her heart: Luna had been found.

On Wednesday, the five-year-old dog was returned to Mendoza.

Mendoza could not be happier.

"In these past four years, I prayed every time she came to my mind that she is just loved…and for her to be back now I said I'm going to make up for lost time."

It's not clear what happened to Luna or who had been caring for the pooch.

Mendoza believes she was being used to breed puppies since she has a Caesarian scar on her belly.
