Tropical Depression 10 Churns In Atlantic

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – As Florida forecasters keep a close eye on the progress of Tropical Storm Isaac, there's also a second disturbance they're keeping tabs on in the Atlantic.

At 11 p.m., the center of Tropical Depression 10 was roughly 1045 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands.

The storm had maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour and was moving to the west-northwest at 17 miles per hour.

Forecasters said the system is forecast to strengthen and become a tropical storm on Thursday.
