MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The sounds of the Miami Heat’s championship parade still echo in downtown, but the team is already looking to next season as Wednesday, the Heat released the 2012-13 preseason schedule.

The Heat will open the preseason in Atlanta on Sunday, October 7 in a matchup with the Atlanta Hawks. Then, the real travel of the preseason begins as the Heat head around the globe to China for a pair of games.

The Heat are scheduled to play the L.A. Clippers on October 11 at the MasterCard Center in Beijing, China. The Heat then makes their way to Shanghai to again play the Clippers this time inside the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Four days later, the Heat will make their preseason home debut against the Detroit Pistons. The October 18th game will be the first Heat home game since the team clinched the NBA championship over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Heat will finish the preseason at home against the New Orleans Hornets on October 26. The full preseason scheduled can be seen below.
