Early, Absentee Voting Deadlines This Week

MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Deadlines are approaching for voters wanting to avoid the parking headaches and extra driving associated with Election Day voting.

Early Voting. Early voters must vote before 7 p.m. on Saturday. You may vote at any of 20 Miami-Dade sites between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., or at any of 17 Broward sites between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Be sure to bring a photo ID and your voter registration card with you.

Absentee Voting. Absentee voters must vote request a ballot before 5 p.m. on Wednesday. The ballots can be requested online, by email, fax, telephone, or in writing.

Completed absentee ballots must be received by the Elections Department no later than 7 p.m., on Tuesday, August 14th.

Ballots may be returned by mail, in person or by authorizing in writing a designated person to deliver the ballot to the Supervisor of Elections.

Absentee voters may also visit a polling location with a picture ID and signature or authorize a designee to pick-up their ballot beginning Monday, August 13th.

Election Day Voting. Those waiting until Election Day must vote at the assigned precinct listed on their voter ID card. If you are unsure of where to vote on Election Day, call 3-1-1 or click here to find your precinct in Miami-Dade, here to find your precinct in Broward.
