MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has never been one to shy away from saying he’s the greatest player in the game. But his latest quip is drawing laughter from NBA Hall of Famers and from the sports world in general.

Wednesday, Bryant said that the current US Men’s Olympic basketball team could beat the 1992 Dream Team which had the likes of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and others.

Jordan said Bryant comparing the 1992 Dream Team to the current team was “not one of the smartest things he ever could have done.”

Charles Barkley, another member of the Dream Team, said it was a “no-brainer” the current team couldn’t beat the 1992 team. Barkley added that outside of Kobe, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant he didn’t think any other current player could have made the Dream Team.
