Police Release Sketch Of Man Wanted In Surfside Rape

SURFSIDE (CBS4)Miami-Dade Police Department's Special Victims Unit has released the sketch of a man they say is responsible for a sexual assault in Surfside Monday night.

The victim, 25, told police that she left her hotel on the 8900 block of Collins Avenue at around 8 p.m. to go for a walk when she felt like someone was following her. When she turned around, she told police, a man grabbed her by the waist and stuffed a rag into her mouth to stifle her screams. The man then carried the victim to a nearby alleyway where he sexually assaulted her.

The man is described as a male, 30-40 years old, around 5'5" and roughly 150 pounds. The victim described her assailant as having a long brown beard with sun spots on his hands.
