MIAMI (CBS4) – Police released three 911 calls from people on the MacArthur Causeway who witnessed a cannibalistic attack.
At least one caller told police Rudy Eugene was going to kill homeless man Ronald Poppo. Some of the first callers calmly describe a man stripping on the causeway, not knowing he’d chew off another man’s face.READ MORE: 'We Need To Take Action': Gov. “He was taking his clothes off and throwing them into traffic,” said a male caller.
The 911 operator then asks the caller to clarify the location.

Just moments later, another caller dials police. He thought both men were homeless.
“There are these two bums that were going at it with each other, taking up the whole lane, I think they’re fighting or something,” said the other male caller. “I’m leaving cause I’m not sure what’s going on there.”
That’s when the calls to police turn frantic. They describe 31-year-old Rudy Eugene attacking 65-year-old homeless man Ronald Poppo. One caller is a female bus driver, possibly driving one of the buses seen in surveillance video that last Saturday.
“Listen, there is a naked man on the MacArthur Causeway … He is beating another man to a pulp. Like on top of the man, beating him, the man is bleeding,” she said. “It’s a naked man, beating another man, beating him … like towards The Miami Herald, it’s at the end of the causeway. But he’s gonna kill that man, I promise you.”
