North Broward Boil Water Order Lifted

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The boil water under that had been in place for parts of North Broward County has been lifted.

Broward County officials said consecutive days of tests revealed the water for the impacted area is once again safe for use.

The boil water order was first issued on Friday after tests showed E.coli and fecal coliform in county-operated wells. The affected well has been taken out of service, officials say.

As a precaution, residents were being urged to boil their drinking water or use bottled water until further notice, a real annoyance on a busy holiday weekend.
