Mail Carriers Trying To Stamp Out Hunger Saturday
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – If you get a few plastic grocery bags in your mailbox, it's not a mistake. For the 20th straight year, the National Association of Letter Carriers is carrying out its Stamp Out Hunger food drive Saturday.
The Postal Service put the bags in the mailbox hoping that residents will fill them with non-perishable food and leave them next to the mailbox.
Postal carriers will then pick up the bags and carry them to local food banks and pantries.
