Roll Over Accident Snarls Traffic On Turnpike Extension
SW MIAMI-DADE (CBSMiami) – Drivers coming from southwest Miami-Dade to points north on the Homestead Extension of the Florida Turnpike found themselves in a virtual parking lot at the height of the morning commute.
A roll over accident in the northbound lanes at SW 8th Street snarled traffic for miles. Miami-Dade firefighters closed two of the lanes to traffic as they worked to free a woman from the car.
The woman was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said it was not a trauma alert.
