Man Stabs Computer With Sword During Child Porn Raid

PALM COAST (CBSMiami) – The pen may be mightier than the sword, but a two-handed Samurai sword was all Palm Coast man had on hand when federal agents raided his home looking for child porn.

Kamil Mezalka, 21, reportedly used the sword to stab his computer's hard drive in an effort to destroy any evidence, according to the Daytona Beach News Journal.

Investigators went to Mezalka's home near Daytona Beach to look for evidence that he had downloaded hundreds of files containing child pornography. According to the arrest report, when officers entered the home after no one answered the door bell Mazalka, dressed only in his underwear, ran to a second floor bedroom and stab at his computer with the sword.

During questioning Mezalka reportedly told the police he was attracted to teenage girls and may have downloading porn which showed girls 13-years old and younger. A forensic check of the computer uncovered hundreds of images of child port. Mezalka was arrested and charged with downloading child pornography over the Internet. If convicted, he could face five to 20 years in federal prison.

This was not the first time police have encountered Mezalka with a sword.

Last April, he received kudos from the cops after he used a sword to defend his mother when his stepfather began choking her.
