MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Florida US Senator Marco Rubio has had his hand slapped by the Federal Election Commission for accepting what the FEC said almost a quarter million dollars in improper contributions during the campaign that put him in the Senate.
The fine? Just $8 thousand.

The FEC doesn’t get specific about the exact problem with each questioned contribution, but said in it’s filing the fine covers “prohibited, excessive and other impermissible contributions.”
