Multiple Flights Cancelled Due To Texas Twisters

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – As twisters tear through the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in Texas, American Airlines has cancelled nearly every flight in and out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Miami is an American Airlines hub and all flights going to Dallas and coming from Dallas have been cancelled. Dallas-Fort Worth International, or DFW, has been under the gun from the tornadoes for several hours and had to move planes into tornado protection a little earlier.

According to Miami International Airport's Flight Information, three departures from Miami to Dallas have been cancelled. The impacted flights include flight numbers: 544 set to depart at 5:30 p.m.; flight 1973 set to leave at 6:55 p.m.; and flight 1724 set to leave at 9:30 p.m.

Flights from Dallas to Miami that have been cancelled include: flight 1246, 484, 1046, 1828, and 546.

At Ford Lauderdale International Airport, just one flight has officially been cancelled, American Airlines flight 1017 which was set to leave at 6:35.
