Rock & Cena Headline Wrestlemania At Sun Life

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The professional wrestling world will focus its eyes on Sun Life Stadium Sunday evening for Wrestlemania XXVIII. The event will be headlined by a match that only Miami could pull off, The Rock versus John Cena.

Most pro wrestling fans know The Rock, also known as Dwayne Johnson, is from South Florida. He cut his teeth as a member of the Miami Hurricanes before moving into the professional wrestling business.

Since he became a WWE superstar, few have been able to match The Rock's presence in the ring or his skills on the microphone. A great example is just a few weeks ago when The Rock decided to serenade the Monday Night Raw audience with his tribute to John Cena.

The match has been building for more than a year, which is uncommon in recent WWE memory. It was booked the day after Wrestlemania XXVII in Atlanta, Georgia and fans have been teased of the matchup, deemed a Once In A Lifetime match.

John Cena has accused The Rock of turning his back on the WWE the first chance he got to go to Hollywood. The Rock counters questioning Cena's manhood and calling him names including "Fruity Pebbles."

Wrestlemania is the WWE's signature event each year and has become so big that cities make pitches to the WWE to host the event much in the same way cities pitch the NFL on hosting the Super Bowl.

Wrestlemania is a pay-per-view event and will be priced at $54.95 for the standard definition feed on Sunday. The Rock vs. Cena match will likely go down sometime after 10:00 p.m. at Sun Life Stadium.
