"Center Of The World" In South Florida This Weekend

MIAMI (CBS4) - South Florida is the happening spot this weekend, from high end fashion to how powered music, to high powered tennis that has the eyes of the world.

At Miami Beach International Fashion Week more than 50n designers will show off their lines at The Miami Beach Convention Center. Walla from the Kingdom of Bahrain is debuting her newest, exquisite hand-sewn designs.

Her line premiered Friday night.

"Miami is a cosmopolitan area- and it's nice to enter the U.S. market at place where  there's so many people from all over," said Walla Alalawi.

Also on the beach, almost close enough to hear at the Convention Center, is the Winter Music Conference. DJs are spinning their mixes all over the hotels. At The Shelbourne, fans danced poolside.

Across the bay in Miami, nothing is bigger and louder than the Ultra Music Festival. Thousands of fans jammed into Bayfront Park to see their favorite DJs.

"This is our generations Woodstock, for sure," said one fan

"This is a happy festival. There's no fighting in the crowd. Yes, we may go crazy but it's all good energy," said Rob from New Jersey.

"It's 's the best. We've planning this for 6 months. I'm here to see everybody,"  said Danielle from Michigan.

Those heading out to see  the beautiful horses of Cavalia's  Odysseo at  Bicentennial park will feel like they been transported to another country.

Across the Rickenbacker Causeway on Key Biscayne, a different vibe from a different crowd, in South Florida for the Sony Ericsson Tennis Tournament.

Organizers are expecting some 200 thousand fans at Ultra this weekend, so whatever you decide to do this weekend, give yourself time to get there.
