One Dead, 2 Shot In Homestead

HOMESTEAD (CBSMiami) - Miami-Dade police are trying to figure out how three people, including a 13 year old boy, were shot at their Homestead home late Tuesday night. One of the victims died, and the others are hospitalized.

Miami-Dade police spokesperson Det. Javier Baez said police were called to a home in the 3400 block of NE 3rd Drive of Homestead just before midnight Tuesday after getting reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found three people shot, including 21 year old Banave Fleurant, 18 year old Elizabeth Lustin, and a 13-year-old boy police have not yet named identified.

The teenaged boy was taken to Homestead Hospital, but Fleurant  and Lustin were taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center, where Fleurant later died of his injuries.

Lustin and the teen remain hospitalized.

Police are still trying figure out who shot the victims and what their relationship was.
