Something Extra: Do You Work In A Happy Business?
MIAMI (CBS4) - Do you think your friends in other industries are happier? They might be.
A extensive survey from Careerbliss.com on employee satisfaction came up with the happiest and unhappiest fields to work in.
The happiest? Government. For some workers, it's because they're serving the public, but it can't hurt that the average salary is higher than in the private sector, and that you get job security and good health care coverage.
Unhappiest? People in agriculture and mining. Hard work in the sun and deep underground with mediocre salaries can't help.
Surprisingly, employees at non-profits and internet and software companies were tied for second unhappiest, followed by workers in media.
Having practiced law for seven years, I can tell you working in media is a lot more fun.
