Broward Library Taking Pre-Orders For Harry Potter eBooks

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The magical world of Harry Potter will soon go digital for eReaders and audiobooks. Muggles and wizards alike in Broward can sign up beginning Tuesday to follow the adventures for free through the county's library system.

Beginning February 28th Broward County Library customers can pre-order any of the seven Harry Potter eBooks or audio books and place them on hold before the official release date of April 30, 2012. All are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The digital Harry Potter books will be available in the EPUB format and Kindle format (coming soon), and in MP3 audiobook format.

Audiobook and eBook editions will first be available in English, with editions in other languages to follow. Currently, the library offers the print editions of the Harry Potter books in Spanish, French, Chinese, Hebrew, Portuguese, Russian and large-print.  Additionally, they also have a range of companion books, Harry Potter video games and the Harry Potter feature films.
