FSU Football Schedule Completed

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBSMiami) – After weeks of speculation, the Florida State Seminoles have filled their schedule and Monday, the Atlantic Coast Conference filled in the conference part of the equation.

FSU has seven games at home and five on the road in 2012. The Seminoles open with arguably the weakest schedule in the ACC for the first two weeks. FSU opens the season against the Murray State Racers and follows it up with a game against Savannah State University.

FSU had to schedule a second Football Championship Series school in 2012 after West Virginia tucked tail and ran from a game against the Noles in Tallahassee. West Virginia bought its way out of the FSU game, leaving the Noles with a late opening in the schedule and no Football Bowl Subdivision team could fill it.

After the initial two weeks of cupcakes, Florida State will dive into conference play with a September 15 game against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. FSU follows that up with a fourth-straight home game on September 22 against the Clemson Tigers.

FSU will be looking for revenge on the Tigers after they throttled FSU in Death Valley during the 2011 season.

Florida State's first road game will only take the Seminoles to Tampa for an intrastate matchup against the University of South Florida Bulls. The Noles go back to conference play on October 6 with a game at North Carolina State.

The Noles return home to face the Boston College Golden Eagles on October 13 and then come down to Miami for the annual battle with the Hurricanes on October 20.

Florida State plays Duke at the Doak on October 27 before receiving their first week off on November 3.

FSU will play two straight road games in November starting on November 8 when the Noles battle the Virginia Tech Hokies on that Thursday night on ESPN. FSU will stay on the road the following week on November 17 against the Maryland Terrapins.

FSU closes the season in Tallahassee against arch-rival the Florida Gators on November 24.

The ACC Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, December 1 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
