Marti Walks Into Hospital That Saved Her

MADISON, Wis. (CBSMiami) – One of the last time's Teagan Marti was in Madison, Wisconsin, she left critically injured from falling 100 feet from an amusement park ride.

Monday, she returned and dropped jaws by walking back into the hospital that treated her immediately after the accident.

Teagan returned to Madison for a news conference at the American Family Children's Hospital. She was 12 when she fell from the Terminal Velocity ride at Extreme World in Wisconsin Dells in July 2010.

Marti suffered a fractured spine and pelvis and many doctors were not sure if she would ever walk again.

Marti walked into the hospital Monday to promote an expansion project at the facility. Hospital staff and reporters were both left in awe as Marti walked through the lobby with the aid of a walker.
