Woman Fatally Struck On Southwest Miami-Dade Street
SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBSMiami) - A woman waiting at a Southwest Miami-Dade bus stop was hit and killed by an out of control car Thursday night.
Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Tom Pikul said the woman was waiting for the bus near the corner of Bird Road and Southwest 93rd Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. when a motorist lost control of his car and hit her.
The woman, who has not been identified, died on the scene.
The driver of the car remained on the scene and is being questioned by investigators.
All eastbound lanes of Bird Road have been closed while police investigate.
