No Fins Crack 2011 All-Pro Team
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – The Miami Dolphins had some great play from several players this season, but none of it was enough to earn any Dolphins player a spot on the 2011 AP All-Pro Team.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson and Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen were the top vote-getters. Both came just one vote short of being a unanimous pick for the squad.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made the team for the first time this season after putting up video game-like numbers through a 15-1 record this season.
The two first team guards, Jahri Evans and Carl Nicks, were both from the Saints. No two offensive line teammates had been selected first-team since 1953.
Only one rookie made the All-Pro Squad, Arizona Cardinals cornerback/kick returner Patrick Peterson. The first-year star brought back four punts for touchdowns in 2011, tying an NFL record.
