32nd Annual Chanukah Festival At Gulfstream Park

HALLANDALE BEACH (CBSMiami) – Music, food and cultural traditions will be celebrated Monday night as more than 10,000 people take part in the 32nd Annual South Florida Chassidic Chanukah Festival at Gulfstream Park.

The free event will feature a concert by Benny Friedman whose debut album "Taamu" was released in 2009. Also appearing will be Nosson Zand whose hard-hitting blend of hip hop and pop has entertained teens across the US, Europe, and Israel.

The festival will also feature a performance by the twin Chassidic Acrobats from France. Other Festival highlights include the lighting of Florida's Largest Menorah, led by Cantor Rabbi Yossy Lebovics and a large lineup of Community Leaders and Dignitaries, free Chanukah gelt for the kids and scores of valuable prizes.

Last year, the Chanukah Festival was seen live around the world via Jewish TV @ Chabad.org. It was the most watched Live Jewish TV Show in 2010.

The event is produced by the Chabad of South Broward.

The Festival will be preceded by a one hundred Car Menorah parade, starting out from the Yeshivah Gedolah of Greater Miami, under the auspices of Florida Friends of Lubavitch.
