MIAMI (CBS4) – It’s the season to celebrate, and the Hilton Miami Downtown hosted a party to do just that with those that need it most.

“We’re honored and hold a responsibility to be part of our community and today we’re honored to have all these kids, our neighbors – it’s going to be a great event,” Jesse Manzano-Placa of Resorts World Miami which owns and operates the Hilton Miami Downtown.

The event celebrated Neighbors 4 Neighbors Adopt-A-Family 4 the Holidays program with special guests from community partners, The Miami Bridge and The Village South.

“We’re very fortunate to have the invitation from both Neighbors 4 Neighbors and the Hilton,” said Sharon Thomas, Director of The Village South told CBS4’s Nicole Maristany.

Board member, Alfred Karram Jr. at The Miami Bridge also enjoyed seeing those his organization serves enjoy the festivities.

“The outreach and the collaboration of all the organizations has been incredible and hence a beautiful party like this,” said Karram.

A beautiful party to enjoy by families working through some tough times but today, they were able to let the good times, roll!

“The kids look all dressed up and their minding their p’s and q’s and I can’t thank everyone enough this has really been priceless for this time of year for them,” said Karram.

And just when you thought all of the food and fancy footwork was over, special guest, Santa Claus arrived with presents.

“This is what we work for, healthy families enjoying the holidays in a healthy fashion, and the smiles of not just the children but the parents -it just warms the heart, that’s what we work for day in and day out,” said Thomas.
