Report: FSU Cornerback Arrested
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – Florida State Seminoles reserve cornerback Avis Commack faces felony grand theft charges after a fellow student's Apple iPad was reported stolen.
According to FSU's Rivals website, Warchant.com, a student reported her iPad missing after her backpack was stolen from a computer lab.
FSU Police used tracking information in the iPad and found that the device had been logged onto the school's computer network at least three times with Commack's student login information.
According to Warchant, Commack said he found the iPad in a stairwell and wiped the old information and put his own information into the device. Commack voluntarily surrendered to police and was arrested and released last Friday.
Commack played in 12 games this season as a backup and recorded nine tackles, according to Warchant.com.
