FSU Linebacker Arrested For Stealing Motocycle

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – It's not been a good week for Florida State.

Freshman linebacker Arrington Jenkins was arrested Sunday for allegedly stealing a motorcycle, according to the Orlando Sentinel. It may go down as a stupid criminal story as well.

According to police, Jenkins allegedly took the bike from the rear of a truck parked on the street. Police said that skid marks from the motorcycle led directly to Jenkins' apartment complex, according to the Sentinel.

Jenkins reportedly told police that he saw the motorcycle lying on the ground and took it to his apartment and placed it in his private room. According to the Sentinel, when police pressed Jenkins about the bike he responded:

"Anyone who leaves a motorcycle out in the open should expect to have it stolen."

The motorcycle was returned to its owner who said it had extensive damage, the Sentinel reported.

Jenkins' arrest follows Friday's arrest of backup cornerback Avis Commack on felony grand theft charges for allegedly stealing an iPad.

Neither Jenkins or Commack are expected to be part of the football team until their felony charges are resolved.
