Motorcyclist Killed On Turnpike Ramp In Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) – A Deltona man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed while exiting the Florida Turnpike in Hollywood.

Elvis Myrie, 44, was heading southbound on the Turnpike when he exited at the Hollywood Boulevard ramp, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. On the ramp, the FHP said he struck the guard rail and was thrown from his 2009 Suzuki.

Myrie, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The FHP said the cause of the crash remains under investigation
