Police Suspect Foul Play In Disappearance Of Miami Mother & Infant

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Miami Police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing mother and her infant daughter, who they believe are in imminent danger.

Shatevia Rice,18, and the infant have been missing since December 4, after her family says she left her mother's home on the 400 block of Northwest 48th Street. She was heading to a friend's house to style her hair.

Rice hasn't been seen or heard from since, and according to police, her infant daughter is in dire need of medication to aid in digestion.

On Wednesday, a family member notified police that they had received a message through social media that Rice was in danger and unaware of her surroundings.

Rice was last seen wearing a green shirt, black shorts, and black shoes.

Anyone with information about Rice and her daughter's whereabouts is urged to call the Miami Police Department's Robbery Unit at (305) 603-6370 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-8477 (TIPS).
