Dog Found Abandoned In Foreclosed Home Needs New Home

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A South Florida animal rescue organization has gone out of its way to help a dog found abandoned in a foreclosed home in Florida's Space Coast.

Buddy is an American Mastiff mix who was found in the garage of an empty home in Cocoa, Florida with an unopened bag of dog food. A couple who lived next to the foreclosed home realized their neighbors were gone and the dog was left in the garage without any food or water. The dog had been there for about two days.

After they rescued Buddy, the neighbors reached out for help and Fur Angels Rescue answered the call.

They picked up Buddy and have now found a foster home for him in South Florida.

Buddy is sweet, playful, great with kids and other animals and he's already neutered, according to Fur Angels Rescue. It's believed he's about a year old and has basic training.

Buddy is up for adoption. If you're interested in adopting Buddy, go to the Fur Angels Rescue website for more information.
