Four Injured In Hialeah Gardens Accident

HIALEAH GARDENS (CBSMiami) – Four people were airlifted to the hospital after being involved in an accident involving a car and an SUV in Hialeah.

Just before 3 p.m. an air rescue helicopter from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue touched down in a baseball field near the accident scene at the intersection of W 68th Street and 32nd Avenue. From the air Chopper4 spotted one person being wheeled to it on a gurney.

At the intersection, Chopper4 spotted two vehicles which had been involved in the accident. Part way resting on the sidewalk was a gold colored SUV with severe front end damage. Several feet away was a dark colored car with a crumpled front end and its back window blown out.

Just after 3 p.m., three other gurneys with injured people onboard were wheeled out to waiting air rescue choppers.  Hialeah police spokesman Det. Eddie Rodriguez confirmed that two of the injure where children ages 11 years old and older.
