Former Dolphin Arrested For Alleged Battering Of Wife

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – James McKnight, a former wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, was arrested Tuesday after a domestic violence incident with his wife.

According to the arrest report, McKnight, 39, was arrested after grabbing his wife's wrist and twisting them before throwing her into their car. He was charged with misdemeanor battery and had a bail of $3,500.

McKnight was a journeyman receiver in the NFL. He played with the Dolphins from 2001 to 2003 and also played for the Seahawks, Cowboys, and New York Giants.

According to his company's website, McKnight coaches football and track at Cypress Bay High School in Weston.
