Stolen Bulldog Puppy Returned To Key Biscayne Family

KEY BISCAYNE (CBS4) - A family is thanking the public for the safe return of their three-month old puppy who was stolen from a Key Biscayne park Wednesday evening.

The puppy's owner Karla Cantalapiedra confirmed to CBS4's Maggie Newland that she picked up the puppy Coco at a Brickell Publix store after receiving a call from a man saying he had the dog.

Cantalapiedra said she was with her son Marco, 3, at Village Green Park, when someone walked off with the dog. Coco the dog had been tied to a pole in the shade nearby.

Police believe the dog was taken to be resold. Coco is a miniature English bulldog worth 1500 dollars.

It is unclear if police will charge the person who returned the dog.
